A truck-counterweighted fall protection system uses the weight of a parked truck as the counterweight for an overhead anchor. On the X550, drive-over thresholds sit under the truck's wheels, and the loaded vehicle stabilizes the davit. This delivers overhead fall protection at flatbed truck loading platforms, tanker trucks, and truck maintenance bays without permanent installation or separate ballast weights.

The X550 is rated for one user at a time, with a maximum anchor point capacity of 310 lbs including the worker, tools, and attached fall protection equipment. For jobsites needing multi-user overhead anchorage, other Malta Dynamics XSERIES units can support two or three workers simultaneously.

Workers need a full body harness and a connecting device such as a self-retracting lifeline or energy-absorbing lanyard to complete the fall arrest system. Make sure the connector's fall clearance rating matches your working height above the ground. The X550 provides the overhead anchor point; personal protective equipment connects the worker to it.
