Class C means "conductive," so the shell offers no electrical protection. This APEX helmet protects against top, side, front, and rear impacts but is not safe near energized lines or electrical equipment. For electrical hazards, choose a Type 2 Class E helmet. Class C suits construction sites, manufacturing, and industrial use where electrical shock is not a risk.

The APEX Type 2 Class C meets ANSI Z89.1-2014 Type 2 Class C testing, which covers top and lateral impact, penetration resistance, and chin strap retention. It also meets the European standard EN12492 for climbing helmets and is compliant with OSHA 1910.135 and OSHA 1926.100 for head protection.

Yes. The adjustable, removable 4-point chin strap keeps the helmet in place during movement or a fall, which is the Type 2 retention requirement under ANSI Z89.1-2014.
