APEX Safety Glasses

The APEX Safety Glasses meet the ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2020 high-impact standard, the current American National Standards Institute rule for occupational and educational eye and face protection devices. Z87.1 impact testing includes the high-velocity impact test (a steel ball fired at the lens) and the high-mass drop test to verify performance against workplace hazards. OSHA references Z87.1 in both 29 CFR 1910.133 and 29 CFR 1926.102.

Clear lenses work indoors and in low-light or overcast conditions. Tinted lenses reduce glare in bright sun and block 99.9% of UV rays, useful for outdoor activities on the jobsite. Indoor/Outdoor lenses have a light mirror tint that helps in mixed lighting when crews move between indoor and outdoor tasks throughout the shift.

Safety glasses protect against front and side impacts using wraparound lenses and side shields, and they work well for general construction, dust, and flying debris. Safety goggles seal completely around the eyes to protect against liquid splash exposures, chemical splashes, and airborne particles from all angles. For grinding, chemical work, or heavy dust, choose safety goggles instead.

Clean the lenses with mild soap and warm water, then dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, paper towels, or shirt sleeves, which can scratch the lens coating. Store glasses in a protective case when not in use, and replace any pair with cracked lenses, damaged frames, or worn coatings that compromise reliable protection.
