The Beam Walker Super Slider is light, smooth, and easy to use. Adjustable beam walkers are designed for fall protection, rope access, and work positioning. They provide fall protection for one worker and can be used with a shock absorbing lanyard or a self-retracting lifeline.
The Malta Dynamics structural steel beam clamps are constructed with lightweight aircraft aluminum bars and feature a centered 360° swivel D-Ring connection point to help eliminate lifeline tangling and provide workers with the ability to move around hassle free.
These fall protection clamps provide a fixed beam clamp tie-off point for H-Beams or I-Beams, and can be installed overhead or at foot-level (with the approval of a Competent Person). Using adjustable metal hooks, the super sliders are fall protection anchor clamps that attach to the top flange of steel I or H beams and glide along them as workers move. These fall protection clamps attach without tools and can fit a variety of beam widths ranging from 3.5″ to 14″ for ultimate versatility.
The Beam Walker Super Sliders are also reusable, so you can easily transport the 3.3 lb. unit from project to project with ease! With proper maintenance and inspections, the super sliders are ideal for long-term use and can be installed and removed repeatedly. How to Install the Beam Walker Anchor
Installation is straightforward with this Malta Dynamics Beam Walker anchor. You can spend less time installing and more time getting to work. Before installing the safety anchor, carefully inspect it, along with the beam you will be installing on. You’ll need to ensure the beam is structurally sound and is not damaged in any way.
Installation:
- Locate a structural steel beam flange capable of withstanding a 5,000-lbf. static load or meeting OSHA 1926.502 requirements for a safety factor of two.
- Push in on the latch handle to allow the adjustable hook to move.
- Keeping the unit perpendicular to the beam, fi t the hooks over the edges of the beam flange.
- Slide the adjustable hook so that both hooks are snug against the beam flange.
- Pull back the adjustable hook to ensure the ratchet teeth are fully seated in the nearest ratchet notches.
*Always re-adjust according to installation steps 1-6 when moving to a new or different sized beam.
