This heavy duty carabiner features a 0.84” gate that has been tested to the ANSI standard to withstand face and side loads up to 3,600 lbs. This large locking carabiner is designed to allow you to safely attach personal fall protection components like lifelines and lanyards to an anchorage point with maximum ease and security. This heavy duty carabiner is self-closing and self-locking. The steel twist lock carabiner mechanism adds another level of security by requiring two specific actions to successfully open it. Using one hand, you twist the ¼ turn barrel to reveal the carabiner nose and then pull back on the gate to fully open it with the other hand. Once you have latched on – or off – of your desired destination, simply let the gate go and it will spring back into the closed and locked position automatically. This metal locking carabiner is made from rugged and reliable materials so that you can use it in any condition with the confidence that it’ll be tough enough for the job. Supplied with an OVALONE CARBON connector, it can even be used without a lanyard or energy absorber.
