Tripods accommodate a variety of fall arrest devices and winches. When you rent a tripod from Malta Dynamics, we offer two options for standard use with our rental tripod units.
Our standard winch is designed for personnel riding, material handling, rescue, and evacuation. It includes a 115-foot galvanized steel cable that can support a worker load from 130-310 lbs. The winch is compatible with the Malta Dynamics tripod using the 3-way recovery self-retracting lifeline bracket. The winch offers the ability to raise or lower a worker to safety or lock them in place. Once installed, the winch cable is fed through the head of the tripod and placed on the built-in pulley wheel. Then, personal fall arrest systems should be attached and used in conjunction with the winch.
The Confined Space Rescue / Retrieval Kit provides both fall protection and bi-directional winching capabilities. This enables the rescue a worker in need, allowing you to raise or lower them to a safe level. This winch kit can be attached to our standard tripod for confined space use using this high-strength bracket.
The bracket has been specifically engineered to provide a reliable connection between the tripod and winch using the attached locking pin.
