PX3 Roof Cart Rental

About the PX3 Roof Cart
The PX3 is one of the most portable mobile fall protection systems on the market, weighing just 430 lbs. — 45% less than comparable units. Designed for roofing crews that need to move fast and stay compliant, it lifts into place quickly, sets up without penetrating the roof surface, and relocates just as easily when the job shifts. Whether you're covering a short-term project or need a versatile fall protection solution for a multi-week job, renting the PX3 lets you put a field-tested system to work without the capital commitment of ownership.

Does the PX3 require a structural assessment before use?
Does the PX3 require a structural assessment before use?
At 430 lbs. plus live load from workers and equipment, roof structural capacity should be evaluated before placing the unit at height. A qualified person or structural engineer should confirm the roof can support the combined load at the intended position, particularly near the roof edge or on older low-slope structures.
What roof types is the PX3 compatible with?
What roof types is the PX3 compatible with?
The PX3 is designed for use on TPO, EPDM, metal, and built-up roofing and addresses rooftop safety needs across most low-slope commercial applications without penetrating the roof membrane. It is not designed for leading-edge applications or confined space environments.
If you are unsure whether your roof type is compatible, our team is happy to help before you place your order.
Is the PX3 compliant with OSHA standards?
Is the PX3 compliant with OSHA standards?
Yes. The PX3 supports a fully OSHA-compliant fall arrest system configuration for up to five workers simultaneously, meeting OSHA standards for construction site fall prevention.
Three workers can be connected in fall arrest and two in fall restraint, with the unit serving as the central anchor point for the crew. Compliance also depends on proper setup, worker training, and oversight by a competent person on the jobsite.
What if the equipment is damaged while renting?

Any damage beyond normal wear should be reported to Malta Dynamics immediately. Do not attempt to repair or modify rental equipment.
Contact us at (855) 781-9917 if damage occurs during your rental period.
Does my crew need training before using the PX3?
Does my crew need training before using the PX3?
OSHA requires that fall arrest systems be overseen by a competent person — someone who can identify fall hazards and has the authority to correct them on the jobsite. Workers using the PX3 should be trained on proper anchor point connection, fall arrest vs. fall restraint positions, and rescue procedures before beginning work at height.
Malta Dynamics offers training and inspection services, including fall hazard identification, harness fitting, equipment inspection, and rescue planning. Contact our team to schedule training alongside your rental.
