There’s no point in wearing a lifeline if it’s going to fail when you need it. Using old or inadequate safety materials can have a detrimental outcome if a fall occurs. It’s important to inspect your gear prior to each and every use; your life is literally on the line, so take the time to examine your equipment. Here are some tips on how to successfully check over your self-retracting lifeline. Examine Metal Components The Fall Indicator: located at the connection point on your SRL. When the force indicator has been tripped, it indicates that fall-like impact forces have been applied on the self-retracting lifeline. There’s no point in wearing a lifeline if it’s going to fail when you really need it. Using outdated or inadequate equipment can have a tragic outcome if a fall occurs. It’s essential to examine your gear prior to each and every use; your life is on the line, so take the time to inspect. Here are some guidelines on how to successfully examine your self-retracting lifeline. Inspect Metal Components: The Fall Indicator: located at the connection point on your self-retracting lifeline. When the fall indicator has been tripped, it shows that fall-like impact forces have been applied on the self-retracting lifeline. The reusable device is easy to install and won't cause damage to the wall. Your workers can use our parapet anchor on walls varying in thickness from 2.36" to 14.1". On a jobsite, time is critical, but you never want to compromise your workers' safety.
