Malta Dynamics Roof Anchors Rated for Window Washing

2 27 Window Washing Anchors 520x500

Malta Dynamics is pleased to announce its standard roof anchors have been rated compliant for window washing applications. Window washing anchorages must meet different standards than typical fall protection anchors because they are designed to sustain regular, continuous loads rather than absorbing a single “dynamic” load from a fall.

The requirements for anchors rated for window cleaning—and other types of suspension work—are described in OSHA 1910.27(b) concerning rope descent systems and anchorage, as well as The International Window Cleaning Association’s ANSI/IWCA I-14.1-2001 standard. ANSI/IWCA I-14.1-2001 requires that each anchorage be certified as capable of supporting 5,000 pounds in any direction for each worker attached and requires a proof load of 2,500 pounds (there is no proof load requirement for fall arrest anchors).

Malta Dynamics offers both 12” and 18” roof anchor models that are made in the USA. These anchors are rated for window washing and meet or exceed the OSHA fall protection requirements and ANSI/IWCA standards.

“We manufacture our roof anchors to the highest quality standards because we use them every day in our construction business,” says Damian Lang, owner and CEO of Malta Dynamics. “We’re proud to be able to offer customers a high-quality, affordable option to help keep workers safe in window washing and other suspension work situations.”
