Malta Dynamics Rental Protection Program
Protect Your Rental. Protect Your Crew.
When you rent fall protection and safety equipment from Malta Dynamics, you’re getting the same reliable gear trusted on job sites nationwide. Still, even the best crews can face the unexpected—and accidental damage or loss can result in costly repairs or replacement fees.
The Rental Protection Program (RPP) is an optional add-on that minimizes your financial responsibility if rented equipment is accidentally damaged, stolen, or destroyed.
HOW IT WORKS
The Rental Protection Program modifies your financial responsibility under the standard Equipment Rental Agreement. When you choose to participate, Malta Dynamics limits what you owe in the event of loss or damage to your rental equipment.
With RPP, your maximum out-of-pocket cost is:
- 10% of the fair market value (FMV) for each item of lost or stolen equipment, up to a maximum of $500 per unit
- 10% of repair costs for incidental or accidental damage, up to maximum of $500 per unit
- No rental fees while damaged or lost equipment is being repaired or replaced
| Incident Type | Without RPP | With RPP |
| Equipment Damage | 100% of repair or replacement cost | 10% of repair cost (up to a maximum of $500 per item) |
| Equipment Loss or Theft | 100% of fair market value | 10% of fair market value (up to a maximum of $500 per item) |
| Rental Fees During Repair | Full rental cost continues | No rental fees while equipment is repaired or replaced |
RPP is not insurance—it’s a contractual modification that reduces your liability when the unexpected happens.
Coverage Requirements
To qualify for RPP coverage, all of the following conditions must be met:
- RPP must be accepted and paid for before the start of the rental period.
- The RPP fee equals 15% of the total rental charge (plus applicable taxes).
- The customer’s account must be current and in good standing at the time of any incident.
- All terms of the Equipment Rental Agreement must be followed.
- The incident must not fall under any of the RPP exclusions described in the program details.
What’s Not Covered
The RPP does not reduce liability if loss or damage results from:
- Intentional misuse or abuse of the equipment
- Natural disasters or “Acts of God” (such as floods, storms, or earthquakes)
- Failure to file a police report within 48 hours for lost or stolen equipment
- Items or accessories not covered under RPP at the time of rental
If any of these exclusions apply, full liability remains with the renter under the Equipment Rental Agreement.

Using equipment outside of manufacturer’s guidelines
Acts of God or natural disasters
Floods, windstorms, earthquakes, etc.
Unreported theft or loss
