On this week’s episode of Dynamic Discussions, Greg and David take on the question: When working with a Guardrail System, is a personal fall arrest system still needed? Guardrails are designed to allow the worker to operate in passive fall restraint and move freely around the job area. Fall restraint prevents the worker from getting close enough to a fall hazard to actually fall. So, technically if all of your fall hazards are protected, you don’t need to be attached to a fall arrest system (ie. SRL, anchor, lanyard, harness).
