Communication is crucial in the workplace. The days of voice raising and criticism of work performance are gone. Communicating with the new generation of employees can be considered an art form. . 

In February's contractor tip, CEO Damian Lang tells us what he's learned and is now passing along to his management staff about how communicating with millennials is mostly about how you channel your message and less about what you are actually saying. 

Damian relays to his foremen, superintendents, and project managers the following statistics about communication:

  • 55% is received through our body language.   
  • 38% is received through our tone of voice.  
  • 7% percent is received through the words we say.
